Tights: 5 Style tips

It's wintertime and the temperature is low but it's not a reason to hide your hemline. Show off your legs with some leg warming staples that will match your dresses or skirts. I have often been asked in wardrobe audit sessions about how to choose and wear tights.

Here are a few style tips:
1- Favor Quality to Quantity. Unless you wear tights with an uniform you don't need to buy the same black opaque tights in bulk. For the same price pick some beautiful ones that will enhance your legs. I usually recommend: Wolford, Gerbe, Christian Dior and Pierre Mantoux (Made in Italy).

2- Go for diversity with:

3 -Matching your tights with your shoes helps to elongate your legs but you can also choose some with a different color  (like below) for a less classic and more edgy style.

yes to yellow!

4 -Pay attention to the patterns that should enhance your legs and not make them look thicker.

5 -Last but not least style advice: favor light texture (15, 20, 30 denier) with a midi or knee length skirt and keep the opaque ones (40 to 80 deniers) for  mini-skirt/dress.
Now you are ready to survive the cold in a stylish way!
