Dare the Cape!

What about standing out from the crowd this season with a beautiful cape?
I like capes, It s the kind of clothes that immediately makes someone look chic and classy. Not convinced? Give it a try! It's easier to wear than you think.
Pay attention to a few things though:

1- Pick the right cut for your body shape. If you are petite, a short cut just above or just below your hips will be more flattering than a long one. Pair it with high or medium heels to elongate your silhouette. Some models are belted in the front or you can add your own if you don't want your waist to disappear.
2- Create your outfit of the day as a base that will enhance the "cape effect".

Here is my selection of a few capes and outfits to match them. I hope you'll be inspired!

Karen Millen/Asos
Keep it classic with a turtleneck and  classic pants for this cape that will give some personality to any basic outfit thanks to the asymmetrical stripes effects!

Roberto Cavalli/Netaporter
Geometrics effects here again with this gorgeous cape. Make it bold with thigh boots!

This more affordable one from Zara can do the trick as well!

And why not a skirt? Mini or midi both match perfectly with these capes! (from left: ADetacher/lagarconne, Sessun/asos, SaintLaurent/netaporter)
